Which Centrelink payment can I get?
It depends on your age, who you care for, your children and your housing. At Age Pension age (67) the main payment is the Age Pension, up to $1,237.70 a fortnight for a single person from 20 Sep 2026. Caring full-time for someone can mean Carer Payment at the same rate. A principal carer of a child under 14 (single) or 6 (partnered) can get Parenting Payment, and Family Tax Benefit and Rent Assistance are paid on top of other payments. Each payment has its own income test, and the pensions and Parenting Payment also have an assets test.

When do Centrelink rates change?
The Age Pension, Carer Payment and Parenting Payment are indexed on 20 March and 20 September each year; the next change is 20 March 2027. Family Tax Benefit rates change on 1 July, and Child Care Subsidy settings change with each financial year.
Can I get more than one Centrelink payment?
Usually you can get only one income-support payment at a time, such as the Age Pension, Carer Payment or Parenting Payment. Supplements are different: Rent Assistance, Family Tax Benefit and Carer Allowance can be paid on top.
How much is the Age Pension from 20 September 2026?
Up to $1,237.70 a fortnight for a single person and $1,866.00 for a couple combined, including the Pension and Energy Supplements. What you actually get depends on the income and assets tests, which the Age Pension calculator applies.
Are these Centrelink calculators official?
No. They are free estimates built on Services Australia's published rates and rules, each read on the date shown on its page. Services Australia decides what you are paid, so use its own estimator or contact it before you make a decision.
